It has been such a long time since I have had the time to sit down and write about something random. As you probably know, the spring semester is over and it is now time to welcome in the summer heat. Ugh!
During the semester, I had decided to snap some pictures of the downtown phoenix area. If you do not already know, I am attending Arizona State University at the downtown Phoenix location. Through the years that I have attended school, I have slowly began to appreciate the art and culture of downtown Phoenix. I hope you enjoy the pictures I have taken. I had a lot of fun running around snapping them with my friends.
While Mercado was quite a distance away from the main campus, it looked a bit out of place with its architecture. This plaza came with a mini café, seating areas with tables which had amazing views of the valley, and a refreshing water fountain that sparkled in the sunlight.
Here is a view of the Westward Ho towering over the Post Office. Interestingly, the Post Office was one of my favorite places to hangout because it wasn’t overcrowded and parts of the old building were still intact.
A few steps away is Civic Space Park with its floating sculpture. I think the sculpture lights up at night. This was the place to go for Pokémon hunting.
If you walk a couple blocks east, you will find Taylor Place dorms. A couple times I have had lunch in the cafeteria which was pretty nice since it was all you can eat for an hour. Yum!
Towering skyscrapers make me feel small.
A nice view of the buildings on Central Avenue. I’ve always wanted to go inside the San Carlos Hotel just because it’s haunted.
And lastly, a peaceful shaded park next to the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Basilica.
Now that the semester has come to an end, I’m hoping that I will spend more time on my blog. I do have a couple ideas on what I would like to do for future posts and I hope you will enjoy them too. Now tell me, what are you planning to do this summer?
